under big stormy cumulus clouds,
waiting for the summer rain...
Found along the back roads of America,
this charming red barn
is out in the western reaches
of the countryside
in the beautiful state of Michigan.
A small creek runs alongside
where the wildflowers dance
in the moist and marshy soil.
Hugged
in the middle of the trees
and shrubs,
this barn houses
the farm equipment
in a big dairy-producing area
of rural Americana...

"After 30 years in the floral and plant nursery business, Debra and Dave Vanderlaan sold both businesses and turned their life-long photography hobby into full-time obsession.
