Artist's Description

The Appalachian Farm Life in Sepia Tones
by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan
... A vintage Ferguson tractor has been captured here in the middle of the Appalachian Smoky Mountains of North Carolina on a vintage old dairy farm... An old rusty Ford pickup truck adds charm to the scene along with the flock of sheep and a tall white goose. A fun goat pokes his head through the wooden fence slats as an eagle flies over looking for breakfast! The fields are filled with red poppies and tall blue larkspur at the beginning of Summer, sunflowers waving gently in the Appalachian morning breeze. The old red wood and red-roofed barns are rustic, captured along the country roads in the western reaches of North Carolina. A long wooden fence circles around the horse pastures while an old tire swing hangs from a huge old oak tree, waiting for the kids to come out and play. Enjoy our vintage gallery of old cars, barns, and trucks full of antiques here on our website! Www.CelebrateLifeGallery.com
