... At sunrise,
the tall buildings
on Singer Island in Riviera Beach
glow with the early morning sunlight...
The beach is deserted,
the sand golden
with the light of dawn.
A flock of birds,
seagulls and sandpipers,
congregate on the sandy beach,
enjoying the warmth of the morning.
The lifeguard stand sits alone,
waiting for the day's beachcombers
and sunbathers
to fill the long coastline
with happy chatter and fun.
The tall skyscrapers are impressive,
reaching toward the sky
that is filled with pretty
and colorful clouds.
Sunrise color adds a pretty glow
to the horizon
and the waves reach long fingers
into the coastline
as the tide comes in...
"After 30 years in the floral and plant nursery business, Debra and Dave Vanderlaan sold both businesses and turned their life-long photography hobby into full-time obsession. The Vanderlaans are both award-winning photographers and well-known both domestically and internationally.
