Ripples in the Sand and Sky on Jekyll Island Coastal Georgia in Soft Beachhouse Colors by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan
.... Driftwood Beach, also known as Roots Beach by the locals, is on Jekyll Island, Georgia, right near the northern border of Florida. At low tides, you can see the trees and large pieces of driftwood that have been dragged into the surf during storms and heavy surf. Some of the trees are still standing as they grew, others are laying down in the wet sand. Captured early in the morning under a sky filled with interesting clouds, the wet sand and tidal pools are shown here at low tide, reflections rippling in the wrinkled sand and tidal pools...
