... Three tall brilliant red maple
trees stand tall on the edge
of the farm pasture, deep
in the heart of the Appalachian
Mountains as the sun goes down.
The forest encircles the fields,
glowing in the late day sunlight.
After an afternoon of rain,
a mist still lingers on the trees
as early autumn settles in
for a cool night. Lush vivid
colors tint the clouds in brilliant
shades of lavender, gold, peach,
red, yellow, and deep blue
in the darkening sky. Enjoy
our many Smoky Mountain images
captured in the countryside!
