.... This scenic trail wanders down from the overlook above at one of the high points on the Cherohala Skyway! This beautiful natural area is partly in the Cherokee National Forest and the Nantahala National Forest, thus the name, Chero-Hala... The gorgeous trail descends to a pretty whitewater rapids cascade and then into an interesting open meadow. Captured just at nightfall when the full moon was rising from behind the mountains and sunset color was still in the clouds and sky...
