... This is the pretty
reflective pool
at Gibbs Garden
in north Georgia
in early Springtime...
The water is cool and clear,
reflecting the very blue sky
of the early morning.
The wood gazebo sits
on the edge of the lake,
it's Gothic tower reflected
perfectly in the pond
at it's feet.
A small bridge spans
the small stream
that cuts through
the gorgeous garden
leading back into the daffodil zone.
Cypress trees grow tall
on islands, their roots,
called cypress knees,
adding an interesting element
to the scene.
The early Spring leaves
on the trees are on fire
with young growth, oranges,
reds, and yellows,
almost as in the early autumn color...
