Okeechobee Bridge
near sunset.
The intense blue
of the late day sky
is reflected
into the salty bay waters
as the sun travels down
toward the horizon.
The yachts sit idly now
at their docks
after cruising
the Intracoastal Waterway
on this pretty day.
The breezes of the afternoon
turn quiet as the reflections
of the boatyard
and the huge cumulus clouds
glow in the slow swell
of the waves
below the harbor wall...
"After 30 years in the floral and plant nursery business, Debra and Dave Vanderlaan sold both businesses and turned their life-long photography hobby into full-time obsession. The Vanderlaans are both award-winning photographers and well-known both domestically and internationally.
