... An old dairy farm is captured here in the autumn.... The barn is very old, a vintage 100-year old wood barn, the red metal roof glowing in the late day sunlight through the ornamental pear trees. The air smells like hay and manure as the day ends and the coolness of the evening sets in. This farm is in the Smoky Mountains of western North Carolina near the borders of Georgia and Tennessee. The Blue Ridge Appalachian mountains are full of small family-owned farms. This one is in a pretty valley between the mountain ridges, tucked into the beautiful Smokies...
