winter's eve, a pair of blackbirds
watching in the moonlight,
illuminated by the glow
of winter's light
through the branches
of this big old gnarled oak tree...
Sunset colors tinge the night
with an orange glow,
dark clouds scattered
in the evening sky
just after sundown.
