Part of me is Irish / Scottish / Irish...in that order. My ancestors, the Buchanans, ruled parts of present day Northern Ireland. They were kicked out of Ireland, moved to Scotland but, after a while, the Scotts kicked them out too. My direct ancestor, Samuel, was not “in the direct line” of the Buchanans. I think that’s a more pleasant way of saying that Samuel was an illegitimate child.😊 Wonderful image
