above the Alum Bluff Cave,
a rugged section is a tangle of exposed roots. This challenging and beautiful trail follows the creek and then climbs high up into the Smoky Mountaiins of Tennessee near the border of North Carolina... The Appalachian Trail joins this trail from the Boulevard Trail near Newfound Gap.
