"The Valley at Cades Cove"
by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan
... A gorgeous sunrise
after a night of rain at Cades Cove...
This long fence runs along
the 10 mile loop roadway
and makes a picturesque photo
opportunity for tourists. Captured
in early summer, the grass is so
green and lush, perfect food
for the wildlife grazing in the area.
The settlers of Cades Cove
are long gone but many
of the original buildings remain
for visitors to walk through
and admire, a part of the history
of the Appalachian Mountains
near Townsend, Tennessee
in the Great Smoky Mountain
