...The Redbud trees are blooming
in the Springtime,
this one adorned
with a huge pasture
of lavender wildflowers
at it's feet,
ethereal clouds worn
like a halo
around it's flowering head...
The Smoky Mountains
skirt the border
of Tennessee
and North Carolina,
some of the oldest mountains
on earth.
This area is part
of the Cherokee
National Forest
and is near the towns
of Ducktown in Tennessee
and Murphy
in North Carolina...
