A gnarled tree grows
at the water's edge,
waves lapping at it's roots.
The calm ocean reflects
the start of the day,
light clouds at the horizon,
the tree trunks
glowing in the clear light of dawn...
These giants of ficus trees
grow along the coast
of Palm Beach
in South Florida.
The roots are so intricate
and these trees make
fine photo fodder
for interesting subjects.
Black and white show off
the textures of the scene...
