... The reflections are perfect
on this perfectly still morning
at the lake... This is Okeeheelee
Park in western Palm Beach County.
The waterskiing championships
are held in this lake and the docks
are lined with ski boats during
this big yearly event. At other
times of year, this lake is used
for practice and for boating
enthusiasts. This image
was captured just after dawn
when the clouds were still tinged
in pretty pinks. The large grove
of palm trees sits at the opposite
edge of the lake, sheltering
the cool clear water
from the tropical breezes.
This park is at the edge
of the Everglades and is full
of running and cycling trails,
picnic spots, tennis courts,
ball fields, a nice golf course,
and volleyball fields...
