"Red Barns"

... What could be more lovely
to the eye than seeing
bright red barns at sunset?
A gorgeously colorful sky,
clouds reflecting
the setting sun's light
after an afternoon thunderstorm.
This is summertime
when the days are warm
and the evenings
have a touch of coolness
from the greens
of the pastures.
The tall silos stand watch
over the fields
as the barns
shelter the cattle
and the farm equipment.
The grass is a vibrant green,
full and lush
as late summer
will soon turn it's eye
toward early fall.
Smell the fresh cut hay
and the wet leaves
after the rain...
This is the best it can get!
