Just before sunset, with a thundershower wafting across the Smoky Mountains, a dramatic double rainbow appeared right over the pretty Valley River in the Blue Ridge Appalachian mountain town of Murphy. The light tones were so vivid with the sun setting across from it and the fresh silver tones of Spring and golden sunlight adding glow to the leaves of the trees and the glossy slow-moving fresh water of the river, presented here in a painterly black and white for drama and mood...
