Nice Ride in Winter
by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan
... An old rusty International pickup truck sits in the winter snow at this rural Appalachian Blue Ridge Smoky Mountain farm... The truck is probably a vintage 1941 but definitely a year in the 1940's somewhere! A vintage wood barn is on the edge of the pastures, now a snowy field on a crisp wintry December morning... Sunlight streams through the forest of trees, glowing on the white winter wonderland. The herd of sheep gaze out from the safety of the barn, overlooking the scene and admiring the vintage truck.. Please take a look at the rest of our Vintage Gallery, our Classic Cars and Trucks Gallery, our Appalachian Mountain images, as well as the rest of our many fine art photography scenes from all over the world! Their motto is Celebrate Life and that seemed a natural name for their gallery. Their images have been displayed in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC, at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Turchin Art Center in Boone NC, the Palm Beach Photography Museum, the Art Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia,...
