Wouldn't you like to visit
this pretty spot?
Don't you just want
to get into that great canoe
and paddle out
into the middle of the lake?
The sky is so pretty
and the water so tranquil,
reflecting the early Spring shades
in the trees
surrounding this high mountain lake.
The lake is in the Cherokee
National Forest and is part
of the Chilhowee Recreation Area
of Tennessee.
A beautiful forest trail
starts right alongside
this pretty lake
and leads through the woods
to the Benton Waterfalls.
The trail is easy and gorgeous
in the full spring,
summer, or autumn...
