... A bright red covered bridge stands at the top of the hill in the Appalachian Blue Ridge Smoky Mountains in autumn... The tall oak trees are in glorious gold colors, the long black painted wooden fence surrounding the farm pastures.... This mountain farm scene is in Granny Squirrel, a tiny rural community in Topton, North Carolina, just adjacent to Andrews and down the road from Murphy and near the borders of Georgia and Tennessee...
