... An old wooden bridge spans the rushing water of the creek below, deep in the forest along the trail up to Chimney Tops. The trees are in the beginning of autumn, with a touch of golden in the pretty light of the morning. Big granite rocks tumble along the river as the whitewater gushes through the narrows of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
