at sunset,
thunderstorm clouds gather
in the far off distance
as the humidity
soars almost to 100%.
A beautiful blue
bass fishing boat
sits idle
after a full day
of great catching,
moored in the tall marsh
grasses growing
on the edge of the lake.
The water is shallow,
clear, and warm,
a perfect environment
for fish to live and spawn.
The town of Sebring lies
across the lake
under the tall cumulus clouds
that are lit in yellow
sunset tones
as the sun draws near
to the horizon
and dusk is ready
to settle in...
"After 30 years in the floral and plant nursery business, Debra and Dave Vanderlaan sold both businesses and turned their life-long photography hobby into full-time obsession. The Vanderlaans are both award-winning photographers and well-known both domestically and internationally.
