Description
"Waterfall in the Smoky Mountains"
by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan
... Located in the Cherokee
National Forest of Tennessee,
Turtletown Creek Falls is shown
here in full rush after a long
night of rain. This is the waterfalls
in Spring, when the trees are
flushed out and lush and the
water is running hard. This is the
lower falls which requires a 4 mile
hike including both directions,
to see this magnificent sight.
The light of the morning was clean
and so pretty, making the water
glow in the sunlight...The stream
is pounding so hard that there is
a mist of water hanging in the air,
almost like a bit of fog...
